About

Mad River Driving School

The Mad River Valley Driving School provides a low stress teaching environment that utilizes cooperative learning and peer coaching to fully prepare teens to be lifelong safe drivers. The six-week, focused learning experience provides two fully electric cars with high levels or safety features with which to practice and learn. Classes are Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 – 7:30 in the evenings. Driving hours take place after school and on weekends. Students are well prepared to pass their “road test”, however, free support for anyone needing to do a test retake is provided for students.

State-approved driver education course:

• 30 hours classroom

• 6 hours behind-the-wheel instruction

• 6 hours observation

• Required for license applicants under the age of 18. Students who successfully complete the course are issued a "Driver Education Certificate".
